WE ACE: A Course for Entrepreneurs
Equipping female founders*in the Health and Life Sciences to deal-make and lead new ventures
*and all those who identify as female or who are non-binary
What is the WE ACE programme?
In collaboration with Innovation Forum Oxford (IFO), WEACE is an eight week, international on-line program for female founders in the Health and Life Sciences. It is tailored to the needs of founders at any stage of their entrepreneurial journey.
Why is working with female founders so important?
According to research by the Harvard Business Review, US, women led startups received just 2.3% of venture capitalists funding in 2020 (Ashely Bittner and Brigette Law). In Central and Eastern Europe the statistic was only 1% and in Western Europe it’s only 2.2% and in the UK, only 2.87%. In the UK, women of colour fared even worse, and received 0.2% of venture capitalist money in the last 10 years.
The primary purpose of this programme is to:
Equip female founders and those who identify as female, with the skills and expertise to set-up and run well funded, value led and high impact companies and create a community of support, knowledge, exchange and collaboration for female founders.
